Good Article Databases
For those that use Bum Marketing or Article Marketing there are a number of websites available to you that can help you with getting traffic through to your landing/sales page. Over the past few years I have written thousands of articles on a tonne of different subjects however I have written articles that have resulted in thousands of hits for my landing page and I have written articles that haven’t given any results what so ever.
Some of the article databases that I use have good page rank and offer a good level of traffic from the articles and others are a complete waste of space. However if you are using those databases for one way link backs to your site then it is a good way to get a tonne of them without too much effort. The ones I use for good traffic results however are priceless in both the traffic and link departments.
EzineArticles is a Page Rank 6 article database that is loved by Google because it is a manually maintained site which means that every single one of the articles that appears on the site has been looked at by a human before it gets authorized to go live. This means your content (as it should be all the time) has to be of good quality.
ArticlesBase when I first started out they would get a better click through rate from their articles than any other article database but over the past few month their traffic has not in my opinion been of as good in quality as it used to be.
Scribd At the moment this is my golden child of article databases. Very different from your normal article database you can upload your articles in Word, PDF or just plain text format which allows you to be much more creative with your documents. It is a well known fact that your document will get more hits if you add pictures and sure enough in the first two formats you can do just that.
These are just three of the many many article websites that I submit content to but at the moment they are the ones that I get the most success from with regards to click through rates to sales pages.
Feel free to add any others you think are worth a mention.

Amen to that. I love giving away free downloads.
I do offer a freebie package in return for a mailing list signup, but I don’t send promo emails and everything else I give away for free with no hoops and no attached strings.
